City Gas Distribution (CGD) projects typically involve moving, transporting or distributing natural gas using comprehensive networks of pipelines to end-use customers in sectors including domestic, industrial, commercial, and transportation. While households constitute key domestic customers, clients in commercial sector include resorts, hospitals, hotels and restaurants, besides offices. Natural gas is also used as a primary fuel in the transportation sector and for power generation in the smallscale industry sector.
Scope of work involves laying of pipelines including High Grade and High-Pressure Steel Pipelines, Medium Density Polyethylene (MDPE) pipelines typically meant for industrial and commercial use for Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) network and Piped Natural Gas (PNG) networks, and other specialized pipeline systems such as Galvanized Iron Pipes and copper tubing, as per project specifications. The scope also involves construction of CNG stations, along with associated civil, electrical, mechanical and instrumentation works.
